Job Summary:

The Electronics Systems Specialist at C Martin maintains, repairs, and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices. This includes electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, personal and main frame computers, and industrial robotic devices. The successful incumbent applies technical knowledge of electronics principles to determine equipment malfunctions and restore equipment operation.

Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, selecting tools, and testing instruments. The Electronics Systems Specialist works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance from a supervisor or higher-level technician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs communications-electronics preventive maintenance, operation, and maintenance on Radar Threat Systems and UHF/VHF Radios.
  • Installs CE equipment according to specified technical documentation, data, and guidance.
  • Provides in-depth training of lower-level electronics technicians on communications electronics equipment.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate maintenance and installation documentation.
  • Performs communications-electronics preventive maintenance, operation, and servicing of C-E systems.
  • Uses TOs or commercial manuals to perform maintenance, servicing, annual corrosion inspection, treatment, tightening, or alignment, repair, or replacement of all antennas, cables, and transmission lines.
  • Installs communications electronics equipment according to specified technical documentation, data, and guidance.
  • Performs entries into CAMS to document equipment outages, schedule maintenance actions, document maintenance actions, etc.
  • Prepares maintenance and logistic documentation.
  • Assists in range maintenance, fire suppression, and decontamination as required.
