About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Drainage Design Specialist to join our team at RTM Engineering Consultants, LLC. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for coordinating drainage design tasks and producing preliminary and final studies, plans, and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the Drainage Manager and Director of Engineering to manage, schedule, and complete design tasks within project budgets and schedules.
  • Produce preliminary and final drainage design studies, plans, and reports that are compatible with grading, street, sewer, and water plans.
  • Lead the design and production of final Storm Drain Improvement Plans.
  • Produce Hydraulic Calculations and prepare complete Drainage Reports.
  • Review project and recommend Water Quality BMPs, evaluate location, type, and size of BMPs, and prepare complete PWQMP and FWQMP Reports.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in residential development design.
  • Must be highly skilled in AutoCAD with proficiency in Civil 3D a plus.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and agency staff both orally and in written form.
  • Must be highly organized and motivated with the ability to oversee the project drainage design.
  • Strong leadership skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of drainage requirements and hydraulic programs is a must.
  • Knowledge of WQMP programs and requirements of the public agency.

Compensation

The estimated starting salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
