About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Underground Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in the Inland Empire and Los Angeles areas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about heavy equipment operation and wants to work in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in road, site, or highway construction and paving.
  • Maintain a safe and effective working environment by minimizing the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life.
  • Perform daily safety checks and maintain equipment as required.
  • Clean heavy equipment regularly and advise supervisors of any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Maneuver heavy equipment into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crews as needed.
  • Evaluate ground disturbance issues and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Use equipment to level roads and working areas, ensuring proper drainage and grade development.
  • Assist in fine grading and finishing, sloping and banking, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating, and stockpiling.
Requirements
  • Able to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
  • Familiarity with OSHA/MSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong knowledge of grades and blueprints.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and hold materials, tools, and supplies.
Compensation

The estimated hourly salary for this role is $37.50-$52.50 based on experience, reflecting the importance of this position in our organization.
