The Authorization Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring optimal payment for the care provided by Aveanna Healthcare. This position involves collaboration with clinical and administrative staff, patients, and insurance carriers to streamline the authorization process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage patient insurance authorizations for requested services
  • Initiate communications with insurance carriers upon receiving information from the clinical team
  • Work proactively with carriers to ensure timely receipt of required information for payment
  • Communicate changes in reimbursement practices to the clinical team

The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, a high school diploma, and at least 2 years of related experience. A bachelor's degree and HCHB experience are preferred. As a remote hybrid employee, you should be prepared to come into the office periodically. Due to our involvement with Medicare and Medicaid funds, employees must comply with all health-related requirements.

Aveanna Healthcare offers a competitive salary of $42,000 per year based on a 20-hour workweek, which translates to $20.00-$22.00 per hour. This position is limited to the United States only, and remote workers should be prepared to come into the office periodically.
