About Shawmut Services

Shawmut Services provides operational, administrative, and personnel management services that power grassroots mobilization programs for campaigns, organizations, and progressive firms. We help our clients and partners effectively recruit, hire, manage, and scale their teams so they can focus on getting results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit high-traffic areas and community events to register people to vote
  • Meet and engage with community members to discuss voting rights and registration
  • Collect and submit voter registration forms
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve daily and weekly conversation goals
  • Use provided scripts and statements to discuss voting rights and registration

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Physical stamina to stand/walk for long periods (up to 8 hours per day)
  • Comfortable discussing topics related to progressive politics, advocacy, and public policy
  • Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends
  • Ability to memorize and recite scripts and statements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous canvassing or fundraising experience
  • Comfortable using smartphones and tablets
  • Telemarketing or retail marketing experience
  • Social service or organizing experience

Compensation:

This is an hourly position with Revolution Field Strategies, with an hourly rate of $24 per hour.
