Job Title: Financial Trader

Chevron is seeking a highly skilled Financial Trader to join its team in Houston. As a Financial Trader, you will be responsible for generating earnings through advanced insights into market fundamentals, trade flows, and analytics, while managing risk effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and execute profitable trades in crude and refined product derivatives
  • Develop financial trading strategies on a global, regional, and commodity basis
  • Demonstrate strong discipline in position development and risk management
  • Work to identify, evaluate, and execute structured trading opportunities using futures, swaps, options, etc.
  • Engage with industry experts and maintain strong internal and external relationships
  • Provide visible leadership by working with team members in the development of regional and global trading strategies for short to long-term time horizons
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of the crude markets
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of physical trading and/or financial trading in the US crude and/or refined product markets
  • Technical analysis experience
  • Flexibility and availability to execute 24/7 trading activities
  • Team player and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Firm understanding of risk management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Digital mindset and innovative thinker
  • Desire to grow in the trading organization
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of the refined product markets
  • Experience using Right Angle trade capture system
Relocation Options:

Relocation will not be considered.

International Considerations:

Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
