Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Natural Gas Trader to join our team at ENGIE North America Inc. in Houston, Texas. As a key member of our Natural Gas Trading team, you will be responsible for managing physical and financial natural gas price risk in the Texas and Western Gulf Coast region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage physical and financial natural gas flat price and basis risk for Texas and Western Gulf Coast region
  • Support origination and sales with pricing
  • Deploy fundamentals-based trading strategies
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a similar discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years of natural gas trading experience
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Texas intra and interstate pipelines
  • Knowledge of Texas/Mexico cross-border gas flow dynamics
  • Highly analytical thinker and understanding of probability and risks
  • Must enjoy problem-solving and creating trading opportunities
  • A strong working knowledge of North American natural gas fundamentals
  • Clear and effective communicator
  • Willingness to engage in dialogue and debate with colleagues
  • Can work autonomously and be flexible
  • Proficiency in Excel, Structured Query Language (SQL), or Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
