Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Case Manager will be responsible for preparing child support cases for Family Court, performing activities in the courtroom under the supervision of DSS attorneys, and following up on these cases, including parent locate and processing of interstate cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with other units within the Office of Integrated Child Support Services and other components within the Department of Social Services
  • Maintain case records, case narrative recordings, and ensure documentation and auditing purposes are met
  • Refers non-custodial parents to the SNAP Employment and Training program and interprets child support services programs to clients and the community
  • Conducts interviews with custodial parents for paternity cases, interstate support cases, and other cases as necessary

Requirements

  • High School or Equivalent - a bachelor's degree may be substituted for program experience
  • Work Experience: 1+ years

Working Conditions

This position is located in Columbia, SC, and requires standard working hours of 37.5 hours per week.
