About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Server to join our team at Shaner Hotel Group. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests during events and banquets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set the Scene: Ensure that all tables are set up to the highest standard, with attention to detail and a focus on creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Retrieve and serve beverages and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications and group requirements.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure that the work areas and equipment are clean and well-maintained at all times.
  • Anticipate Guest Needs: Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly to ensure that their experience is exceptional.
  • Handle Complaints: Handle guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that the guest's issue is resolved to their satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in banquet operations and/or hospitality is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
  • Age Requirement: Minimum age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Certifications: ServSafe and/or food safety training, alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).
  • Language Skills: Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
