Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the Out-patient Pharmacy area, ensuring seamless delivery of medications and pharmacy services to defined outpatients.
  • Review patient clinical information to ensure medication prescriptions are appropriate, and confer with physicians and other healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies and problems.
  • Provide drug information to physicians and other healthcare professionals as requested, and perform all necessary documentation and coordination of services required.
  • Ensure the successful adjudication of prescription claims to third-party payors, and maintain appropriate medication inventory by coordinating procurement of medications with the pharmacy purchaser.
  • Support customer service and performance improvement goals of the Pharmacy Department, collaborating with other caregivers/staff to develop means of enhancing patient care and services.
Requirements
  • Pharmacist licensure in the state of New Jersey.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and make sound decisions.
