Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Echo Tech to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our cardiovascular imaging team, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound tests for pediatric patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms for pediatric patients, as well as adult congenital and fetal patients.
  • Capture high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and related structures using 2D, Color, Doppler, strain, and 3D modalities.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care, including patient assessment, pre and post-procedure care, and BLS requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to provide consultation and collaboration regarding pediatric echocardiograms.
  • Monitor and record patient information, maintain report storage and data systems, and prepare reports for video archiving.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field, and/or ARDMS or CCI registration/registry eligibility in Pediatric Echocardiography.
  • Working knowledge of pediatric heart disease and surgical repair, as well as proficiency in all modalities of Pediatric Echocardiography.
