Description

As a Coffee Shop Attendant, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Warmly greeting all guests and assisting with seating arrangements as necessary.
  • Presenting the menu, addressing inquiries, and providing recommendations on food, beverages, and preparation methods.
  • Memorizing menu items and being knowledgeable about daily specials and key ingredients.
  • Utilizing proper etiquette, including prioritizing service for guests.
  • Recording orders accurately or memorizing them for efficient service.
  • Communicating orders to the kitchen and bar using the point of sale system.
  • Observing guests to anticipate additional needs and recognizing when meals are complete for checkout.
  • Calculating bills and processing payments or directing guests to the cashier.
  • Preparing soups, portioning desserts, and brewing coffee.
  • Clearing and resetting tables or counters after each course.
  • Assisting in the cleaning and maintenance of service and preparation areas.
  • Promptly notifying management of any guest concerns.
  • Adhering to proper etiquette when seating guests.
  • Answering department calls with appropriate telephone manners.
  • Following all safety protocols and procedures diligently.
  • Supporting fellow staff members with various tasks as needed.
  • Maintaining compliance with cash handling policies.
Requirements

  • Proficient knowledge of the English language for effective communication with guests and team members.
  • Ability to accurately report information.
  • Commitment to following all company policies and procedures.
Attendance at required meetings is expected.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Engagement in pushing, bending, stooping, reaching, and manual dexterity.
  • Skills in hearing, writing, and typing.
  • Ability to pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
