Under general direction, you will plan, organize, manage, and participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Agency's technology programs. You will supervise and assess the work of IT professionals and serve as the Agency's subject matter expert in enterprise resource planning and related systems. Your role will involve complex analysis and strategic collaboration with other departments, external consultants, and contractors, providing updates to Agency Management and the Board of Directors.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and manage technology programs and initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor assigned staff, ensuring a high-performance work environment.
- Collaborate with various departments to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead the formulation and implementation of departmental policies and strategies.
- Manage the budget for assigned areas, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Serve as a representative of the Agency in various forums and maintain knowledge of industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer information systems, business, public administration, or a related field, with at least seven years of relevant experience.
- A master's degree and public agency experience are preferred.
- Valid California Class C driver's license and insurability under the Agency's vehicle insurance program.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is highly desirable.
Knowledge and Skills:
- In-depth understanding of public agency information technology administration.
- Proficiency in project planning and management methodologies.
- Ability to lead teams effectively and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Strong analytical skills to assess complex systems and develop innovative solutions.
