As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Budget Planning and Resource Allocation: Plan and manage budgets and human resources in the area of responsibility to ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Global Manufacturing Engineering Collaboration: Establish and maintain effective exchange with global manufacturing engineering teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Process Improvement: Ensure the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes on a group level, applying the latest knowledge and best practices in the industry.
- Design for Manufacturing: Collaborate closely with R&D to ensure design for manufacturing principles are applied, resulting in efficient and cost-effective production processes.
- Technology Adoption: Apply the latest technology from related industries to ensure competitiveness and stay ahead of the curve.
- Automation and Manual Processes: Ensure the optimal balance between automation and manual production processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Process Improvement for New and Existing Processes: Support continuous improvement for new and existing processes to ensure competitiveness of production costs.
- Team Collaboration: Ensure that engineering, maintenance, and tool shop teams, as well as other manufacturing departments, work together cohesively to achieve common goals.
- Access to Plant Equipment: Ensure required access to plant equipment for new product introduction, tuning, pre-series, and training phases, as well as maintenance activities.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with HSE legislation, apply policies and processes, and provide healthy, safe, and environmentally friendly workplaces and state-of-the-art production processes and infrastructure.
- Risk Assessment and Emergency Concepts: Apply adequate protection and emergency concepts based on continuously updated risk assessments.
- Norms and Standards: Ensure that all relevant internal and external norms and standards (e.g., ISO/IATF) are applied.
- Carbon Footprint Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of plant carbon footprint.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel as required.
- Education: University degree in Industrial Engineering or similar/comparable educational background.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in the automotive industry.
- Language Skills: Fluent in written and oral English communication preferred.
- IT Tools: Relevant IT tools (MS Office, SAP PP, MES, etc.).
- Technical and Functional Competencies: Familiar with required production processes and working processes, knowledge in applying IATF 16949, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 requirements, leadership skills, and application of Lean Principles.
