The New York Civil Liberties Union Foundation is seeking a Support Services Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide general office support and engage in various clerical and administrative duties to facilitate the success of our field programming, campaigns, and administration.

Job Description

This position is based in Kingston and will require providing support to other regional offices as needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk, performing administrative support duties, including correspondence, assisting staff with calendaring and scheduling, managing and reconciling office expenses, maintaining an inventory of office supplies, and participating in event planning and logistical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Management: Manage the front desk and serve visitors to our office by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately.
  • Administrative Support: Perform administrative support duties, including correspondence, such as email and phone communication.
  • Calendaring and Scheduling: Assist staff with calendaring and fielding schedule requests.
  • Expense Management: Manage and reconcile office expenses.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of office supplies and program materials.
  • Event Planning: Participate in event planning and provide logistical support to the regional office staff prior to, during, and after special events.
Requirements
  • Degree and Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred or prior related experience in technical aspects of office management.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as data management skills.
  • Relationship-Building: Commitment to developing and maintaining effective relationships with others, including relating well to people from different backgrounds and diverse perspectives.
  • Organizational Skills: Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and able to think outside the box to find creative solutions and approaches to challenges.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Suite and video conferencing technology.
  • Miscellaneous: Ability to work in a collaborative environment, develop effective working relationships internally and externally, and maintain confidentiality.
Salary

$16.48 per hour.
