Job Description

BryceTech is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in support of the Marshall Operations Systems, Services, and Integration (MOSSI) contract.

The successful candidate will work closely with the NASA customer, users, and commercial and international partners to capture and negotiate requirements, user stories, and operations concepts. They will drive change requests through the systems engineering lifecycle, working collaboratively with the MOSSI Principal Architect, Principal Network Architect, Procurement, Systems Engineers, Systems Administrators, Software Engineers, System Testers, Ground Operators, and Project Leads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively with the NASA customer, users, and commercial and international partners to capture and negotiate requirements, user stories, and operations concepts.
  • Develop and maintain schedules for work components.
  • Create and/or update all documentation for design and change instruments, emphasizing attention to detail.
  • Create vendor specifications for required hardware and storage hardware and systems.
  • Perform analysis, assessments, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Provide systems engineering support to the MOSSI implementation organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Strong skills in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, and Software development.
  • BS or 10 years of experience closely related to one of these disciplines with demonstrable skills in Information Technology.

Required Skills:

  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and professionally represent the MOSSI organization.
  • Highly motivated individual willing to learn and apply new concepts, tools, and software.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, especially with other organizations.
  • Strong personal initiative.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITIL workflow toolset.
  • Experience across various areas of the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, and documentation.
  • Experience with agile development practices.
  • Experience with SANs, Kubernetes containers, VPNs, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with DOORS Next Generation requirements management tool.
  • Experience with EXSI servers with VM instances, LANs, wireless networks, firewalls, Linux and Windows OS's, Intel-based systems, etc.
