As a leader in the healthcare team, the Emergency Room Nurse provides professional nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, while maintaining a safe and respectful environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized plans of care that reflect assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient outcomes.
- Ensure that patient care meets standards of practice, including effective pain management and patient safety.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting optimal health outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and address complex patient needs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of evidence-based practices.
- Minimum six (6) months recent full-time equivalent experience in ED or Critical Care.
- Registered Nurse License (California).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Basic Life Support certifications.
