Job Title: Registered Nurse First Assistant

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) plays a vital role in the perioperative team, working closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care. This position requires a skilled and experienced nurse to assist with surgical procedures, provide personalized patient care, and contribute to a positive and efficient operating room environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preoperative assessment and support in collaboration with the robotic surgery team.
  • Provide first assist for robotic procedures and assist with patient care as needed.
  • Implement the perioperative nursing process to plan and deliver patient care and education.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Participate in emergency and disaster response efforts as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of operating room experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of current surgical first assistant experience.
  • Successful completion of an RNFA program meeting AORN standards.
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of California.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • Certification for First Assistant required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous RNFA experience.
  • Robotic surgery experience.
  • Urology, gynecology, and general surgery experience.

Pay Range: $78.31/hour
