h3Job Description/h3pSCORE seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join the research and innovation team as a Data and Research Analyst./ppThis role will support efforts to analyze trends, identify gaps, and visualize data to communicate key insights with SCORE's diverse audience./ppThe Data and Research Analyst will play a critical role in advancing the organization's work by contributing relevant data and research expertise to projects across the K-12 to workforce continuum./ppThis position reports to the Director of Data./ppbrAbout SCORE/ppSCORE is an independent, nonprofit, and nonpartisan institution founded in 2009 by Sen. Bill Frist, M.D., former U.S. Senate Majority Leader./ppSCORE's mission is to catalyze transformative change in Tennessee education so that all students can achieve success./ppSCORE has three goals that guide the organization's work to drive success for all students in Tennessee:/pulliAll students receive an excellent public K-12 education./liliAll students earn a credential or postsecondary relative to their peers./li/ulpSCORE is based at 1801 West End Ave. in downtown Nashville./ppThis role is eligible for hybrid work with the expectation of at least 20 hours per week across at least Responsibilities/strongbrbrulliCompile and analyze data to support SCORE's policy, strategic practice, and advocacy agenda/liliEnsure that data are collected efficiently and effectively, as well as acquired from secondary sources with attention to data security/liliTranslate data to generate highly visual and user-friendly data reports for public dissemination to a diverse set of stakeholders/liliTrack and analyze data released by state and national partners to identify areas in need of improved data quality and transparency/liliConduct regular reviews of emerging research across the education-to-work continuum to identify trends that could benefit Tennessee and source ideas for system improvement/liliSupport the design and development of research projects, reports, and initiatives to advance SCORE's strategic priorities/li/ulbrstrongCandidate Requirements/strongbrbrulliUnderstanding of the education field and education policy, including a strong working knowledge of education research trends, methods, and sources/liliKnowledge of national and Tennessee education landscape is preferred/liliExperience analyzing and visualizing data — including experience with large datasets — with a focus on translating complex datasets into highly accessible visualizations and/or dashboards/li/ulpProficiency in Microsoft Excel required/ppExperience with other analytics programs or dashboarding software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.) is ideal/ppbrbrulliStrong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy/liliNimble and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment that may require quick turnarounds on data analysis/liliAbility to problem solve in the moment and proactively consult and collaborate with other team members as appropriate/liliExcellent written and verbal communications skills to move projects forward and clearly communicate both internally with
