Key Responsibilities
The Director of Family and Clinical Services will primarily oversee 1:1 teleconsultation services via phone or video chat across two specialized teams:
- A parent training initiative, focusing on parents and caregivers of children with various learning and behavioral challenges.
- A workplace neurodiversity program, catering to neurodivergent professionals and their managers.
This role emphasizes the importance of ongoing consultation, ensuring regular follow-ups with clients. Responsibilities include documenting notes, recommendations, referrals, and responding to client inquiries within one business day.
Guidance and Education
The Director will provide insights and education on:
- Behavioral analytic strategies applicable in home and community settings (e.g., potty training, social skills, advocacy skills, daily living activities).
- Understanding the school system, IEP processes, and transition programs for adulthood.
- Navigating diagnoses, disclosure, self-advocacy, and enhancing executive functioning skills in professional environments.
- Referrals to additional company-sponsored benefits when relevant (EAP, health plans, etc.).
This position operates as an individual contributor while collaborating regularly with fellow Directors for case reviews and collective problem-solving. Opportunities may also arise for involvement in related activities such as writing articles and hosting webinars.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree or higher.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst credential.
Experience and Skills
- A minimum of 5 years of direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, employing modern, ethical, compassionate, and person-centered ABA principles.
- At least 3 years of experience in conducting parent training utilizing ABA and cultural humility principles.
- Experience in supporting neurodivergent professionals (e.g., ADHD and Level 1 autism) in workplace settings.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage frequent back-to-back consultations and transition smoothly between them.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
- Proficiency in making independent decisions and communicating effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive project/client information.
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, connecting remotely with colleagues from diverse professional backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and executive functioning skills.
- Bilingual abilities and flexibility to work across international time zones are highly preferred.
