Position Overview:

This role involves the inspection, repair, maintenance, modification, and fabrication of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems, particularly focusing on passenger and freight elevator systems as well as powered lifts. The position requires conducting safety tests in compliance with relevant regulations.

Regular attendance is essential to fulfill business and customer needs. The successful candidate will be part of a high-performing team that values inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and maintain elevator systems to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Perform repairs and modifications as necessary.
  • Conduct safety tests in accordance with state regulations.
  • Engage in continuous improvement practices within the team.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with technical training or experience.
  • Completion of a trade-specific program or apprenticeship.
  • A minimum of 7.5 years of experience in commercial elevator installation and maintenance.
  • Valid State of Michigan Class A or B Elevator License.
  • Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI) certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety practices, tools, and materials relevant to the trade.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations.
  • Valid vehicle operator's license and personal hand tools.
  • Ability to lift weights ranging from 26 to over 75 pounds.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Motion Control Engineering and certifications in relevant systems. Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities are highly valued. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential.
