Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Facility Diagnostics, LLC. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing engineering solutions for our clients, focusing on MEP commissioning, energy audits, and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commissioning MEP Systems: Conduct prefunctional and functional system testing, providing valuable feedback to design engineers and owners.
  • Engineering Support: Develop engineering solutions for complex MEP systems. Research, design, evaluate, and troubleshoot MEP systems and processes, applying engineering principles to meet requirements.
  • Lead Energy Audits:
    • Perform site visits to review and analyze MEP system operations.
    • Develop energy conservation measures (ECMs).
    • Calculate energy savings.
    • Report findings to owners for input and direction.
    • Develop RFPs for suggested ECMs.
    • Project manage contractors to implement recommendations.
  • Perform Engineering Calculations: Support design work or resolve problems with accurate engineering calculations.
  • Problem Solving: Identify, formulate, and produce effective solutions to emerging problems.
  • Facility Condition Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments of facility conditions.
  • Business Development: Actively solicit new business opportunities.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a four-year college is required.
  • Licensing: Hold or be in pursuit of a Professional Engineering (PE) license within one year.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering. Experience in healthcare is a plus, but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and Adobe applications.
  • Travel: Must be able to travel frequently. This position is based in the Nashville, TN area, with access to Nashville airport, and requires 40% travel time.
