Job Summary

The Addison of Knightdale is seeking a skilled Certified Medication Aide to join our team. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing medication administration and personal care services.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans and under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
  • Count and verify medications with approved personnel before accepting medication keys.
  • Order and receive medications and supplies from authorized pharmacies and vendors.
  • Store medications and supplies in a secure and organized manner.
  • Conduct weekly inspections of medications and supplies to ensure expiration dates and proper storage.
  • Document resident care and medication administration in the medical record.
  • Provide personal care services to residents, including bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, and incontinence care.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as eating, walking, and transferring.
  • Respond to resident calls and requests for assistance in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participate in staff training and in-services to maintain current knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Certified Medication Aide certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
