Senior Diesel Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Equipment Specialist to join our team at US Foods, Inc. This is a unique opportunity to utilize your expertise in diesel mechanics and refrigeration systems to ensure the optimal performance of our fleet.
About the RoleThe Senior Diesel Equipment Specialist will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex diesel equipment issues, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units. You will work closely with our maintenance team to identify and resolve technical problems, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
This role requires a high level of mechanical aptitude, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our fleet, driving business results and customer satisfaction.
About the Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial diesel mechanics or refrigeration systems, with a strong understanding of EPA and OSHA regulations. You will possess excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and strong teamwork capabilities.
A competitive salary of $32 per hour, plus a $10,000 retention bonus, is offered to successful candidates. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, and life insurance, among others. The job schedule is Sunday to Friday, 11pm to 7:30am, with opportunities for overtime when needed.
Requirements and Qualifications- Commercial diesel mechanic or refrigeration certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the field

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple functions simultaneously
