As a seasoned Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet of diesel road equipment. With a strong background in commercial diesel mechanics and a commitment to safety and effective communication, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining tractors, trailers, reefers, and other heavy-duty vehicles.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with our maintenance team to diagnose and repair complex issues, ensuring that our vehicles are returned to service as quickly and safely as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with diesel engines, transmissions, and other systems
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of heavy-duty vehicles, including tractors, trailers, and reefers
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal trucking regulations
  • Document repairs and maintain accurate records
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with drivers and other stakeholders
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience as a commercial diesel mechanic or reefer technician
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues
  • Strong understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy-duty vehicle systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
BenefitsThe role offers an attractive compensation package, including a competitive salary of $32 per hour, plus a $10,000 retention bonus. In addition, benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and annual tool allowance. A flexible schedule is also offered, including nights and weekends, with overtime opportunities available when needed.
