Grooming Technician

This role is responsible for enrolling and completing the Paragon training program, a 15-week virtual learning experience that teaches the fundamentals of bathing and grooming, as well as safety, pet first aid, and CPR. As a Grooming Technician, you will work with dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the safety and well-being of animals.
Key Responsibilities- Enroll and complete the Paragon training program within the required timeline
- Provide safe and effective pet handling, bathing, and grooming services
- Operate and maintain grooming equipment, including clippers, dryers, and bathing tubs
- Assist with generating business through customer interactions and appointment scheduling
- Maintain accurate records of pet clients and services provided
- Ensure a safe and productive work environment for team members and customers
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work with dogs and cats, demonstrating patience and compassion
- Must provide own tools or be willing to purchase required equipment
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate store equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working environment is favorable, generally working inside with moderate noise
- Exposure to sharp grooming instruments, perfumed shampoos and soaps, pets, and pet waste
- Exposure to wet conditions, particularly when bathing dogs
- Exposure to cats and dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
