Job Summary

The Radiologic Technologist II plays a crucial role in Riverview Health's Imaging department, operating in multiple modalities to produce high-quality diagnostic examinations and interventions. This position requires independent judgment and responsibility for designated areas or procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns in a professional manner.
  • Position patients accurately and select anatomic and technical parameters to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Implement radiation protection and safety protocols, adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Prepare, perform, and assist physicians in special and advanced procedures.
  • Administer contrast media and medications within the scope of practice and applicable regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards and submit high-quality images and documents to PACS.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
  • Observe and report patient physical and mental conditions, identifying potential changes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including clerical and administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) program.
  • Diagnostic radiology experience and competency in secondary modality.
  • Preferred: Additional modality experience.
License and Certification
  • State-issued license.
  • CPR certification.
  • ACLS and PALS certifications not required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology certification.
