Job Objective

The classroom instructor will guide students towards realizing their full potential by translating the district's educational standards and objectives into impactful learning experiences through effective classroom instruction and indirectly through specialized assignments.

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree
  • Valid Teaching Certificate for Arizona
  • Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Appropriately Certified for the role
Key Responsibilities
  • Clearly communicate learning objectives to students in a structured and organized manner using precise language
  • Design and deliver instruction tailored to the student demographic, including curriculum that accommodates diverse learning styles, abilities, interests, behavioral challenges, and special needs
  • Develop lesson plans that outline daily learning activities aligned with approved curriculum and State and District standards
  • Utilize available technology to enhance educational experiences
  • Leverage district and state assessment data to refine instruction and place students in suitable instructional and intervention programs
  • Facilitate instruction based on current research-driven best practices
  • Effectively implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Establish classroom routines that foster a positive learning environment conducive to effective instruction
  • Engage in team discussions regarding the academic progress of underperforming students
  • Document and address issues related to student behavior and attendance
  • Reflect on teaching practices and strive for continuous professional growth
  • Assume legal responsibility for supervising students on school premises or during school-sponsored events
  • Take necessary precautions to safeguard students, equipment, materials, and facilities
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and legible records as mandated by law, district policy, and administrative regulations
  • Participate in the intervention process at educational sites
  • Engage in school-wide events, scheduled meetings, and parent conferences
  • Contribute to school and District initiatives
  • Undertake individual responsibilities assigned by the principal or supervisor, which may involve committee work, student activities, supervision, or other planning and professional assignments
