Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at UW Health. As a CRNA, you will provide anesthesia care to a complex patient population under the medical direction of the UW Department of Anesthesiology faculty anesthesiologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures, including neuro, spines, ortho trauma, ob/gyn surgery, acute general surgery, transplant, plastics, trauma, cath lab, and outpatient surgery.
  • Work collaboratively with administrative, nursing, physician, and other staff to ensure safe, effective, and quality patient care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of anesthesia care plans, including pre-anesthesia evaluation, anesthesia induction, and post-anesthesia care.
  • Contribute to the education and training of students, residents, and other healthcare professionals in the field of anesthesia.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited CRNA program.
  • Active RN license in WI and active national certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
