Job Summary

As an Anesthesia Technician with SSM Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical suites. Your primary responsibilities will include setting up and maintaining anesthesia equipment, ordering and stocking supplies, and assisting in the operating room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and calibrate anesthesia equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
  • Order and stock anesthesia supplies, including sterile solution surgical supplies.
  • Assist in the operating room, including disinfecting anesthesia work surfaces and connecting a clean anesthesia circuit to the anesthesia machine.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining equipment and ensuring infection control and regulatory guidelines are followed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; 10 years of work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • No experience required, but a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association is preferred.
Work Environment

As an Anesthesia Technician with SSM Health, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a team of dedicated professionals. You will be required to stand and walk frequently, and may be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
