About the Role

Nippon Express USA is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Household Goods Helper to join our team. As a key member of our Household Goods moving team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling, packing, loading, unloading, storing, and moving of customers' belongings.

Responsibilities
  • Handle, carry, load, and unload customers' belongings efficiently and safely, adhering to established procedures.
  • Pack and store customers' belongings in a safe and organized manner.
  • Arrange necessary packing materials, including cartons, cushions, tools, and equipment such as hand trucks, panel dollies, and machine carts.
  • Determine whether regular packing or special warehouse packing is required.
  • Ensure items are moved without damage during the move.
  • Operate assigned equipment, such as forklifts, dollies, and other machinery, to move customers' belongings to designated storage areas.
  • Train and guide team members on company procedures.
  • Support and collaborate with assigned Leads and Coordinators on moves.
  • Drive company vehicles safely as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure successful and safe moves.
Requirements
  • Valid Class C driver's license with a safe driving history.
  • Ability to work closely with a team in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
  • Ability to frequently stand, bend, twist, reach, lift, push, pull, and carry heavy objects repeatedly.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
Work Environment

This role requires physical demands, including standing, walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, pushing, climbing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects repeatedly. With or without accommodations, this position requires a high level of physical fitness.
