Role of the Research Analyst
As an Equity Market Surveillance Research Analyst, you will collaborate with senior analysts to scrutinize equity markets and analyze trading data. Your role will involve generating detailed reports that elucidate stock ownership fluctuations, trading volumes, and other market dynamics. Your expertise in data analysis and programming will provide insights that assist executives in making informed decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline
- Comprehension of the stock market and financial instruments
- Familiarity with stock valuation techniques
- Capability to analyze extensive and complex datasets
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Attention to detail and self-motivation
- Proficient in managing multiple projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented approach
- Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
- U.S. employment authorization without sponsorship needs
Preferred Background:
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau, VBA, SQL, or Python
- Relevant internship or academic experience
- Familiarity with financial data platforms like Bloomberg and FactSet
- CFA charter or enrollment in the CFA program
- Understanding of options trading and technical analysis
