Transformative Technology Leadership Opportunity

Capital One is seeking a seasoned Senior Manager, Software Engineering, Back End to lead our team of talented engineers in building innovative solutions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

About the Role:

  • Lead a high-performing team of software engineers in designing, developing, and deploying scalable, cloud-based solutions that meet regulatory requirements and drive business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including digital product managers and cloud architects, to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences for millions of Americans.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and experiment with new tools and techniques to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Develop and mentor engineers to help them grow in their careers and achieve their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
  • At least 4 years of people management experience, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 9+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or another cloud service.
  • 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
  • 7+ years of people management experience, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
