We are seeking a highly skilled Medication Technician to join our team at Garden Estates of Corpus Christi. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing medication administration and supervision services.
Responsibilities- Supervise self-administered medication for Assisted Living residents in compliance with Federal and State regulations and SSMG guidelines.
- Report any changes in resident health and provide proper documentation to the Wellness Director.
- Respond quickly to emergencies and maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.
- Provide educational meetings for residents and staff as requested by the Supervisor.
- Understand and adhere to the Safety and Disaster Plan.
- Maintain confidentiality of residents' and prospective residents' information.
- Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
- Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, preservation of equipment, and achievement of safe working practices.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and co-workers.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of SSMG.
- A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Home Health Aid, Personal Care Aid, Private Caregiver certification.
- Must be trainable and available for onsite training, medication training by RN Delegator.
- Must be flexible with scheduling and have transportation to and from work for scheduled shifts.
