Document Control Specialist

Job Summary:

Orion Industries is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing the Engineering Change Order (ECO) and Document Release Process, ensuring proper ECR/ECO submittal to maintain internal and external customer compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the central company files of released documents for support and manufacturing, ensuring all documents are fully reviewed and approved.
  • Monitor and update engineering requests, authorizations, and changes.
  • Coordinate with Planning team members, customers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure Engineering requirements are being met.
  • Train employees on how to use and access the document management systems.
  • Develop and maintain document control procedures as needed.
  • Track and organize company and customer's Photo Contact Masters (PCM-Mylar) inventory.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite of products and File Explorer.
  • Experience using ERP software a plus, Epicor highly desirable.
  • Experience with documentation and process control software preferred.
  • High level organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Acute attention to detail and ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Experience with retrieving engineering documents from customer portals (e.g., Boeing) highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001 a plus.
