Job Summary

SIFCO Forge is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to manufacture metal tools and parts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture metal tools and parts
  • Ensure that machines are operating correctly and that pieces are cut to specifications
  • Perform maintenance on machines and replace dull or aged parts as necessary
  • Read and interpret aerospace blueprints to machine parts
  • Inspect first article parts and use measurement tools to ensure accuracy
  • Support and ensure compliance to ISO 9002/AS9100 Quality Management Systems

Requirements

  • Five years minimum of machining experience required
  • Minimum 2 years performing set ups
  • Knowledge with GD&T (Geometric dimensions & tolerance), speeds and feeds
  • Familiarity with G&M codes
  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED
  • Certifications or trade school training is a plus

Work Environment

This job will be performed in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to work overtime and wear safety protective equipment as required. Ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-30 pounds.
