We're seeking a skilled Field Nurse Supervisor to lead our paraprofessional staff and private duty nursing services at a Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA) in the North Bronx.

Overview

This role is ideal for a dedicated nurse who wants to make a meaningful impact on the lives of older adults. As a Field Nurse Supervisor, you'll oversee the agency's paraprofessional staff, providing direction, coordination, and direct supervision to ensure high-quality home health care.

The Licensed Home Care Services Agency provides comprehensive and personalized home healthcare services to maximize independence at home. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional care, and we're looking for a nurse leader who shares our passion.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional supervision and on-the-job training to paraprofessional staff, including home health aides, personal care aides, companions, and nurses.
  • Conduct field competency testing and assessments to ensure staff meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective care plans that meet the unique needs of clients.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or a related health or human services field.
  • Minimum one year of nursing experience in an acute care facility.
  • One year of satisfactory nursing experience in Home Care preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of the scope of practice for both professional and paraprofessional healthcare.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and employees.
  • Competence in performing mathematical operations related to medication calculations and measurements.
  • Excellent organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Current New York State License as a Registered Professional Nurse.
