Job Summary

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to manage our IT assets, ensure their proper deployment and distribution, and troubleshoot complex issues on servers and workstations. As an Asset Management and Support Engineer, you'll play a critical role in maintaining our IT infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Asset Management
    • Develop and implement asset lifecycle management processes, including retirement and disposal procedures
    • Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets (hardware, software, licenses) and oversee the deployment and distribution of assets to end-users or relevant departments throughout their lifecycle
  • Technical Support
    • Monitor, install, configure, update, test, and troubleshoot a wide variety of issues on servers and workstations
    • Perform root cause analysis for complex, repetitive issues
    • Act as an escalation point for internal IT service desk to provide advanced systems support to Build-A-Bear stores and corporate offices
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with Core Infrastructure, IT Security, Enterprise Systems, and Development teams to support hardware, software, networking, and security tools
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure seamless IT operations and resolve issues efficiently

Requirements

  • 2 or 4-year degree in Information Technology
  • 5 years' experience in both asset management systems and IT hardware/software administration
  • IT A+ Certification in asset management
  • Powershell Scripting
  • Configuration ManagerIntune

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP)
  • Certification in Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager, and/or Azure
