Culinary Specialist

Columbine Health Systems is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Columbine Commons Health and Rehab. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to our residents, ensuring that all dietary needs are met and that our kitchen is a safe and clean environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook meals, desserts, and snacks in accordance with our menu schedule and dietary requirements.
- Serve meals that are palatable and presentable, ensuring that all residents have a positive dining experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health code requirements for food and beverage storage and hot/cold holding temperatures.
- Estimate and prepare food supplies to meet serving portions, minimizing waste and ensuring that all residents have access to nutritious meals.
- Collaborate with our dietary team to ensure that all residents' dietary needs are met, including special diets and dietary concerns.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Knowledge of dietary techniques and procedures, including food safety and sanitation.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and/or 50 pounds occasionally.
