Registered Dietitian Opportunity

Walden Behavioral Care is a leading national specialty healthcare system dedicated to serving all genders and offering the full continuum of care for people with eating disorders. We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at the Dedham Center for Recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete comprehensive Nutrition Assessments for newly admitted patients within 48-hours of admission
  • Prescribe appropriate meal plans to support identified nutrition goals in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care
  • Work with patients and support persons to promote completion of meal plans
  • Perform individual and group nutritional therapy
  • Participate in treatment team planning, discharge planning, and liaison services
  • Provide effective education to parents and families
  • Communicate progress and activities related to treatment and continuing care plans on an ongoing basis to the patient, family, treatment team, referral source, and other individuals involved in the patient's care
Requirements:
  • Minimum requirement: Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree strongly preferred
  • Experience providing direct nutritional care in an Eating Disorder Program and/or Mental Health setting, preferred
  • Experience with menu planning and therapeutic diets in a healthcare setting, required
  • Registered Dietitian (RDN) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
  • Licensed Dietitian with the state of Massachusetts (LDN)
