Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Lead Technician to join our team at Republic Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading a group of technicians to ensure that all repairs and maintenance of equipment are performed in compliance with our safety standards and applicable federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of technicians to perform repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, and hydraulic systems.
  • Diagnose complex repair work and provide coaching on diagnostic techniques to subordinate technicians.
  • Perform external repair inspections to ensure all repair work is done in a safe manner.
  • Schedule repair work for the team to ensure that all repair and maintenance work is done in a safe and timely manner.
  • Identify the source of malfunctions using electronic tools and complete applicable company training programs.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
  • Ability to perform inspections and repairs without supervision in heavy truck or automotive systems, including suspensions, steering, general engine, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drive train, and diesel emissions.
  • ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) and Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License are a plus.
