KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage departmental operations within the allocated budget.
- Implement cost-saving measures through the efficient management of manufacturing and facility equipment.
- Foster a safe working environment.
- Supervise the maintenance team and their activities.
- Design and oversee preventative maintenance initiatives.
- Prioritize maintenance tasks effectively.
- Monitor maintenance shop expenses and propose capital improvement needs.
- Analyze downtime and efficiency metrics.
- Promote continuous process enhancements.
- Collaborate with vendors on various projects.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies.
- Facilitate training for new hires and ongoing training to enhance productivity.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred: College Degree or Technical Certification.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and facility equipment, particularly Injection Molding machinery, auxiliary equipment, assembly machines, and compression machines.
- Experience in maintaining essential support systems such as HVAC, chiller systems, and vacuum loading systems.
- Ability to interpret hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical schematics.
- Familiarity with PLCs and electromechanical relay control systems.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities with a proven capacity to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
- Positive attitude and a collaborative spirit.
- Prior experience in Plastic Injection Molding is essential.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
- Physical capability to perform tasks including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting (up to 50 pounds occasionally).
- Proficient in computer skills and software applications for generating reports and spreadsheets.
Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work safely in a production setting, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
