Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse, focusing on promoting a positive patient experience and assisting with daily living activities and comfort measures.
- Assist other healthcare providers with safe, age-appropriate, and culturally aware care by performing basic patient care functions, such as ADLs, ambulation, and vital signs.
- Participate in hourly patient rounding, answer telephone and call lights promptly, and resolve patient concerns or escalate to the charge nurse if necessary.
- Proactively offer assistance and comfort measures to patients and families, and present yourself in a positive and professional manner.
- Document patient care in the Electronic Medical Record and communicate patient care concerns or emergencies to the RN or Charge Nurse in a timely manner.
- Rising Senior in Good Standing or GED
- Basic Life Support certification
- Ability to follow detailed directions, strong interpersonal skills, and clear verbal and written communication
