Role Overview:


The primary duties of the Licensed Practical Nurse include providing both direct and indirect services under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to individuals requiring crisis evaluations, injection clinic services, or outpatient care.



Your Duties Include:


  • Coordinating appointments for crisis assessments and triaging individuals presenting with urgent medical or psychiatric issues.
  • Conducting clinical intakes for individuals seeking services, collaborating with screening/referral processes to ensure seamless care.
  • Completing necessary documentation to maintain compliance with state and accreditation standards for crisis and assessment services, working closely with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and crisis services staff.
  • Scheduling clients for the Injection Clinic and administering psychotropic medication injections while educating and supporting clients regarding their treatment.
  • Engaging with pharmaceutical representatives who provide samples or coupons, ensuring proper documentation for crisis and assessment services.
  • Effectively interacting with a diverse range of individuals, including clients, staff, providers, and the community.
  • Inputting electronic medical records, verifying Medicaid, IPRS, and Medicare eligibility for clients receiving services.
  • Sending correspondence to clients and the provider community as needed.
  • Actively participating in required meetings and training sessions, maintaining certification in all agency, state, and federal training requirements.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of and adhering to all agency policies and procedures, as well as service definitions related to specific program areas.
  • Understanding emergency protocols and assisting in crisis situations as necessary.
  • Performing additional relevant tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Travel may be necessary for this position.



Education Requirements:


Associates:
Nursing, High School Diploma (Required)


Required Certifications:


LPN - NC Board of Nursing, Valid North Carolina Driver License


Desired Experience:


Experience in Psychiatric Nursing

Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm)
