Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of high-performing employees through effective people leadership practices, including regular communication of performance expectations and feedback.
- Monitor and use nationwide repossession and remarketing trends to adjust strategy and increase repossession and auction returns.
- Manage processes and vendors responsible for repossessing and remarketing repossessed property through auctions and foreclosure sales.
- In collaboration with senior leadership, identify and manage regulatory and legal risk, ensuring compliance through sound practices.
- Meet established department metrics and update leadership on major projects and goal progress.
- Develop and maintain monitoring to ensure processes are being followed.
- Develop and maintain documentation for department practices and policies.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
- Manage third-party vendor relationships.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in loss mitigation, contract restructuring, or collections within the financial services industry.
- Broad knowledge of financial industry regulations, including Reg Z, FDCPA, FACTA, FCRA, SCRA, and Federal Bankruptcy Code.
- Basic knowledge of real estate and consumer loan contracts and default clauses.
- Proven people mentorship and development skills, with the ability to provide frequent and valuable performance feedback.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express ideas concisely and logically.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with multiple business units, leadership, and vendors to achieve organizational goals.
- Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple assignments, and deliverables simultaneously.
- Proven ability to professionally handle sensitive documents.
- Proven skills and commitment to meeting or exceeding member expectations and requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues.
- Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
