Responsibilities:
* Deliver field support for public safety communication systems, including analog/digital radio networks, IP networks, microwave links, and wireless data.
* Assume a leadership role in guiding and developing technicians, fostering their talent.
* Work closely with management and clients to pinpoint possibilities for system improvements.
* Develop needs assessments for State and local agencies and provide support during sales presentations.
* Produce and present project schedules, ensuring that deadlines are adhered to.
* Participate in or lead discussions with clients, consultants, vendors, and other personnel.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in maintaining extensive public safety radio networks.
* Comprehensive knowledge of L3Harris land mobile radio (LMR) systems, simulcast, P25 radio technology, and microwave systems.
* Technical proficiency in Linux, SQL server, Microsoft, Cisco networking devices, Firepower firewalls, and VMware.
* Strong computer skills, including networking expertise.
* Familiarity with telecommunications test equipment.
* Understanding of TCP/IP, networking principles, and network security.
* Exceptional troubleshooting, communication, and customer service abilities.
Preferred:
* Professional certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISSP).
Travel: Approximately 25%.
