Job Summary

The Restorative Care Specialist provides high-quality restorative nursing care and services to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans. This role is responsible for delivering evidence-based restorative interventions to promote resident independence, mobility, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver restorative nursing care and services to residents in accordance with their care plans, including range of motion exercises, transfers, and ambulation assistance.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including therapists and physicians, to develop and implement restorative care plans.
  • Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse, as well as document all interactions and interventions in the resident's medical record.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance restorative care services and promote resident satisfaction.
  • Comply with all facility policies and procedures, including those related to resident confidentiality, safety, and infection control.
Requirements:
  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the State.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate electronic medical records.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Ability to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
