Role Overview
The Maintenance Operations Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all maintenance activities within the department. This role requires close collaboration with production teams to resolve issues and minimize operational downtime. You will establish and uphold high standards of maintenance performance, focusing on equipment reliability, repair efficiency, and cleanliness in maintenance areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed safely and adhere to Roehm America plant standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain compliance with loss prevention, industrial hygiene, environmental, and general company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all team members are well-informed and trained in relevant safety and operational standards.
- Plan, schedule, and execute all maintenance work effectively.
- Coordinate maintenance shutdowns and develop a comprehensive preventative maintenance program.
- Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, including labor and material costs.
- Collaborate with project engineers and external contractors to complete necessary maintenance projects.
- Provide training on safety, environmental, quality, and craft skills to personnel.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Over five years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on maintenance operations.
- Experience managing diverse maintenance teams and maintaining adequate inventory levels for maintenance materials.
- An engineering degree with five years of relevant experience preferred, or a minimum of ten years of equivalent experience demonstrating strong technical skills.
- Proficient computer skills and excellent communication abilities.
- Strong mathematical, reading, and writing skills.
- Familiarity with Collective Bargaining Agreements and experience in a unionized setting.
