Job Summary

As a new graduate nurse, you have the opportunity to join MaineGeneral Health's SHINE Residency Program in the Hospice track. This program is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed as a nurse in a hospice setting.

Job Description

We are seeking a new graduate nurse to join our team as part of our SHINE Residency Program. This program is a 12-week comprehensive orientation that covers various med/surg units, guided by high-performing preceptors. After this period, nurse residents will work independently on med/surg for 6 weeks, solidifying their newly developed skills before transitioning to Hospice to begin their specialized orientation in that department.

Requirements
  • Expected graduation from an accredited Nursing school in the Fall/Winter of 2024/2025 or less than 6 months of RN experience
  • Maine state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or the ability to obtain it after passing the NCLEX, required
