We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse II to join our Progressive Critical Care Unit at Albany Medical Center. As a member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage the needs of assigned patients throughout the episode of care with a focus on progress toward discharge.
- Deliver and coordinate patient care provided by the caregiving team, ensuring competent and compassionate care is uniformly provided to customers.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental and patient care quality improvement plans.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred.
- Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Obtains and maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask physically and mentally.
- Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques and demonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement.
